Dr. Dorothy Woods Smith is Founder and Director of Houses of Healing. She is a recognized practitioner, mentor, and teacher of Therapeutic Touch, and is board certified as an advanced holistic nurse (AHN-BC). She is available for programs and courses, and as a consultant on practice, education and research in these areas.

Taught in the Holistic Health Certificate Program, Part II, through the University of Southern Maine Continuing Education for Health Professions that included a 12-hour basic Therapeutic Touch course, with a certificate of completion from Nurse Healers-Professional Associates, Inc, the official Therapeutic Touch organization.
